It's time to put your good intentions into action. It's time to give a shit -- about your health, your footprint, and your planet.

Give a Sh*t guides you through the transition to a kinder, healthier, more conscious, and sustainable life like no book has done before. With a humorous and nonjudgmental tone, savvy eco-friendly lifestyle expert Ashlee Piper walks you through easy-but-impactful shifts anyone can make to live and be better every damn day:

  • In the kitchen - 20+ unfussy, quick, and delicious plant-based recipes for every life occasion, from pantry staples like White Witch Almond Milk to exciting everyday fare like Walnut Chorizo Tostadas to kick-ass desserts like Jamocha Silk Pie
  • In your closet - Advice for building a polished, ethical wardrobe in a world of fast fashion
  • In the mirror - Beauty and grooming tips and DIY products (from skin care to foundation to, ahem, ladytime provisions) that are safer, natural, cruelty-free, and, best of all, effective
  • In the wild - How to maintain your values (and your moxie) at work, in your social life, and when abroad
Give a Sh*t isn't a manual of restrictions -- it's a practical handbook that meets you where you are and finally harmonizes doing good with living well.

WOW what a book

The book articulates a sustainability lifestyle from the bedroom, closet, and office in a nonjudgmental, practical, and fun way. As someone that is brand new to the movement and lifestyle, I was left feeling that the steps/ideas were easy to implement and that I could make a difference - with the changes growing as more people adopt the lifestyle. I was inspired with the facts provided and I laughed along the way while learning how and why these simple changes can have a profound impact. If you already are into the sustainability lifestyle - prepare to learn some cool new tips and tricks. If you’re a newbie (like me) prepare to learn and be inspired to adopt the lifestyle in a way much easier to adopt than you’d ever think possible. Highly recommended.

Practical, principled and powerful

You have to have a lot of money to implement a lot of these tips and suggestions, though not all of them. a disproportionate amount of space is devoted to fashion and beauty, and does not explain what to do if you are in a lower income bracket. If you do want to dress in a more sustainable way, this is a good book for you, though.

Good Info if you Have Money, or Care About Fashion

Ashlee touches on just about everything related to saving the planet. Her suggestions are achievable, while being motivational instead of making you feel bad for ever doing otherwise. If you follow her advice you WILL feel good about the decisions you are making. Great book for anyone interested in sustainability, or just wanting to feel more purposeful in their daily actions. I will definitely be listening to this one again.
