This queen was never a princess.

Rejected as a child, Rangalan found family, friends and a home with the goblin folk of the mountains. Now hunted by the man who first rejected her, Rangalan's father, King Longhorn, there's nothing Rangalan will not do to protect her friends. That all sounds very serious. It's not. It’s actually all rather silly, utter nonsense if you ask me. Listen to it if you must, but don’t say I did not warn you.

This book was amusing. I enjoy Simon Carr's books and his unique way of expressing himself. The characters were engaging. There was plenty of action. Sometimes the humor was dark and at other times, it was crazy and zany. There was some profanity in this story. Jennifer Pratt's narration was amazing, and her performance was entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Another hilarious and intense book by Simon Carr set in the Apocolypse Blocker world. This is an insane look at the realm of goblins and men. Hilarious, ridicilious, and fun all at the same time. It's lile goblin college for the cool kids. Audio Verson: Jennifer Pratt does another amazing job narrating a Simon Carr story.

Carr has a way of finding humor, presenting it, and making you laugh. At times he can be low-brow and others over the top, but most of his stuff will make you laugh. This book is a prime example of his ability to craft a tale that could be serious and dramatic, still carry those undertones, but be funny as hell.

Jennifer Pratt pulls this off flawlessly. I either love female narrators or cannot listen to them and Jenny, my gal, is in the former category.

I have enjoyed several of Carr's novels to date, and think that you will too. They are generally short enough to be a treat, but still get the work done.

WOW!! This is SO entertaining, where to start? Well you need to be a bit open minded regarding a small amount of swear words and about 3 of those C words.
You know what the feel of this reminds me of? The life of Brian and the Monty python writing. The narration is Brilliant!. .Fun and loved the characters.

WOW!! THIS IS SO ENTERTAINING.

In this book, we have a princess who was lost at birth. Well, she wasn't so much lost as she was punted away from the castle by her father simply for being a girl. She is taken in and raised by goblins and then, when she is old enough, sets out on a quest for vengeance.

As with Simon Carr's other books, this story is at times crazy and at other times dark. At all times, it is satirical and never takes itself seriously. The characters are fun and engaging and Jennifer Pratt's narration is just great.

For those who have not experienced Simon Carr's work before, it is in the same vein as Monty Python. If you want a story that doesn't take itself seriously and provides a good laugh, then give this one a chance.

Another funny and satirical story from Simon Carr!
