The reason I titled this seventh volume “God is Not Incredible” is because the word incredible means “not credible,” which further means “unbelievable.” But, since God cannot lie, fail, and never forsake His church, then God is credible and believable.

Psalm 119 is the longest of the Psalms with 176 verses. It comprises 22 stanzas of eight verses, each forming a poetic Hebrew acrostic. At the heading of each stanza is a Hebrew letter, and the first word of each verse begins with that corresponding Hebrew letter. Since there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet, there are then 22 different stanzas creating this beautiful wisdom Psalm.

I started a 22-message series from Psalm 119 on January 16, 2011, and I concluded that series on October 26 of the same year. The 22 chapters in this volume are the lessons I learned while studying and teaching them.

King Josiah may have written Psalm 119. Unlike his father and grandfather, Josiah tore down the idols and restored worship to the One True God. Like David, he revealed a desire to serve and worship God wholeheartedly. His love for God’s Word is why I believe he wrote Psalm 119.
