I read the negative reviews for this audio book before purchasing. Those reviews are people working in HR (or Personnel as Steve referred to) driven by policy, black or white, reactive administrators. Not to be harsh, but those resistant to change would not like this book based on that.

Steve Browne talks about bringing the human aspect back in HR. It’s extremely refreshing to get his take on how HR has developed and is more of a partner to the business. He talks about how employees should be valued, listened to as a proactive nurturing approach to HR. I’ve been in HR for 7 years, focusing on Talent Acquisition mainly and I loved his softened approach.

Great book for those looking ahead in HR, not stuck in the past

Steve not only shared best practises that would definite assist in your HR journey but also mistakes made which everyone can use as a learning lesson. I will definitely use this book as a go to on those days when things are rough. Thanks Steve for being intentional.
