Steamy Sexiness

Sara Cate is an excellent storyteller of super sweet and romantic stories. Handsome Devil is no exception and is simply delicious. An age gap romance and so much more, the plot and dialogue is superb. The character development and chemistry between Henry and Laila is HILARIOUS!! The narration for this book is stellar. Narrators Will Wyatt and CJ Bloom put a lot of heart and steamy sexiness into their performance. I loved this story!! #AudiobookObsessionReviewer🎧

Fun Sexy Sweet

Oh my gosh this was such a fun story! Incredibly sexy and sweet. The chemistry with these characters was fantastic and the comedy laced in was perfect. It was short but didn’t need any more to it because it wouldn’t just dragged out. Highly recommend for a fun lighthearted listen while still wanting something sexy. Narration was PERFECTION! I love these two narrators as they always do such an amazing job with connecting with their characters and bringing out the story. BRAVO!

Nice little quicky!

I had to read this to work towards reading all of Sara Cate's backlist and this was the perfect little treat for an afternoon. I love the tropes involved and it was a good time. Great performances and I enjoyed my time with the characters. I just wish it was longer.

3.5 "fun," "hurt so good" GR stars!

There's a trend, I've copped to, in which authors happily write-in all the tropes! Or, at least, piece together as many as can fit together feasibly in one story.

Rarely do these recipes completely work as 5 star reads, IMO, and sometimes they completely flop, but most times, they work to the extent of being decent reads ⁠—because of the basic category romance formula, or because one plot device and/or mood saves the story.

Of course, Handsome Devil is the latter. Both humor and the road trip save the story, —for a decent, quickie read. No in-depth characterization, no angst; just some indecision and a small initial grumpy/sunshine vibe.

Henry and Kayla's love happens very quickly, and they are fun and sexy together, minus their small bit of hedging when it comes time to really be together.

This was a light, fun, and easy romance, and those qualities overshadow the "taboo" of the relationship, making it not an obstacle at all.

Great narration and fun, quick story!

The narrators for this we’re wonderful, and I enjoyed this story a ton! This short book takes place during a cross country road trip. The main characters are headed to a wedding in Vegas and happen to be the best friend of the bride…and the bride’s father. So it’s a bit of an age gap! Theres minimal angst about it in the story though, or at least not enough for me to notice. It’s spicy, enjoyable, and HEA.
