To say Janie Rowland is down on her luck would be a Las-Vegas-sized understatement. And said luck only gets worse when she’s spotted by him while working a booth at the Clark Industries Expo.

Hilarious and cozy

This was a super cute and funny MOC romcom. Ben and Janie shared a night of too much alcohol and so many laughs that their greatest problems tumbled out- namely he needs a wife for a 3 month/ 5 year commitment (the timing was rather flexible) and she is flat broke after bailing her brother out of gambling debt and housing their grandmother. Their chemistry was good, their banter was so fun and the pacing was great too. I loved how their story all came together though it did end with them decided to give it a try for real. I dislike books that check out at that point- show them being happy and working together and showing up for each other. I also didn’t like how she was constantly freaked out/ confused by him having money.
Overall a very fun experience and would listen to again!
Loved how the narrators brought the characters to life!
