New cast. Kingsley is good.
Creature sounds bit off. Can't really point my finger on why. Maybe I'm just used to Stephen Fry's performance?
Luna. My favourite character in the series. Her voice actress fits her, but she doesn't talk in a way that is "dreamily" or "unfocused", as it is described often, to a point where there are some "Dumbledore said calmly" type moments in this audiobook.
Umbridge. All I hear is Keira Knightley doing a voice. In my minds eye I can even just see her in a sound booth reading lines, when I'm listening to the book. Odd casting choice. There were times when it kind of worked, but most of the time not.
Tonks. One of my favourite characters. Her voice and manner of speech is more tolerable than what Stephen Fry gave her, but it sounded bit normal. I feel like she was missing the right accent, maybe?
Of course, you might notice that I am criticising the characters that were casted perfectly in the movies, and yeah it might affect my experience as well, but especially Snape and Luna were casted by actors that were especially praised by Rowling as the correct choice, and honestly the ways they talk are not up for interpretation, as there are many cases in the books when the manner of speech is described (hence the whole Dumbledore said calmly issue).
All in all it was still an enjoyable experience though. Would listen to it again. Just wanted to point out the issues I had.
Improvement from Goblet of Fire. But...

I have to give a special shoutout to Jaxon Knopf, who portrayed Harry so beautifully, particularly considering how this book is probably the lowest point for Harry and his story. Jaxon managed to convey Harry’s feelings so well, both the more subtle and delicate ones, as well as the loud and explosive ones. He did such an amazing job and I can’t wait for the last two books.
Jaxon Knopf as Harry was incredible

FINALLY Lucius doesn't sound like a emotionless robot HALLELUJAH!
5 books in my brain has finally accepted Riz Ahmed as Severus Snape. Alan Rickmans performance is just so perfect anyone will have a hard time stepping into his shadow as this character.. I would say the same for Dolores Umbridge. Imelda Stauntons portrayal is just *chefskiss* so took me well over half the book to warm up to Keira Knightley. Overall she did a great job though!
Everyone and everything else was amazing as always!
Honestly HBO series who?
