Life might be a highway, but the last thing this grumpy silver fox expected was a cross-country road trip with a ray of sunshine.

“My sister is driving to California. She could give you a ride.”

“What?” Tucker Ashe and I say in unison.

Mae Fox

Surely, my older sister has lost her mind. There is no way I’m driving her insufferable - albeit sexy silver fox - boss 2,000 miles. This is my spirit trip. The Mother Road is intended to help me reclaim myself. Letting go of my past, I’m only looking forward to the path ahead of me.

But my gaze keeps wandering to the rearview mirror, wondering what secrets my grouchy passenger keeps and how that silver scruff might feel blazing a trail on hidden parts of me.

+ + +

Tucker Ashe

Driving me from Chicago to California might be the least this ray of sunshine can do after ruining my new suit. However, being confined with her for seven days in a car named Louie is the last thing I need. Because I don’t want to think about kissing those lips singing off-key or the way she beams every time we stop for a photo op along Route 66.

And I definitely shouldn’t consider asking her to pull over and join me in the backseat for a bit on this crazy journey where memories haunt and every mile hints at a second chance.

+ + +

Join Mae and Tucker on a road trip where an eclectic soundtrack and unusual highlights along the most iconic road in the US bring together two souls in need of a second chance at revving their engines, recharging their batteries, and rebuilding their dreams.

From L.B. Dunbar comes a new series of feisty vixens and the sexy silver foxes they attract.

NOTE: The Fox sisters (Road Trips & Romance) are the siblings of Garrett Fox from Wine&Dine, an original sexy silver fox.

4.5 stars. Another great story from LB Dunbar. Mae has planned a road trip to rediscover herself. Tucker is trying to get to California for his daughters wedding, but his car service just canceled. Mae’s sister who works for Tucker suggests that they go together. This is a story of letting go of the past and finding your way in the future. Although I am relatively new to LB Dunbar’s books, it seemed like there were many Easter eggs thrown in and mow makes me want to read more of her back list.

Great story

I really enjoyed this book. I used to live in a small town on old Route 66 so I loved following her on her nostalgia trip. The banter was fun between Mae and Ashe and I appreciated a story about a couple in their 40's starting a new journey. it happens to so many of us. There isnt a lot of drama or angst but it definitely held my interest. Narrators voices matched their age ❤ perfect listen on next road trip with hubby and will follow the playlist!

Great romance story told by the Madam of Romance. If you haven’t read a Dunbar authored book then you have missed out. I love reading stories about characters in their 30’s and 40’s. It seems most romance writers pen books about the young and upcoming adults instead of the mature older crowd with not so perfect bodies and they carry baggage from their young relationship experiences.

This story begins with two totally opposite adult strangers going on a roadtrip because one needs to attend a child’s wedding and doesn’t fly. The other person was planning a nice self discovery trip by herself, but then ends up with a passenger. The book is sexy and fun. I highly recommend!

I love L.B. Dunbar Books!!

I loved this book when I read it and I just finished listening to the audiobook and it is fantastic!!
Stella Hunter and J.F. Harding did a one emu job with the narration. They were the perfect voices for these two characters. They brought depth, emotion and great personalities to each character.

I love LB’s writing and this book is my new favorite of hers. The character development, mature characters and real life situations will keep you engaged in this story. I read it in one day…so good!!

Mae is at a crossroads in her life; divorced, mom of tow boys in college, business owner…she needs a break and time away to just think.

Ashe - what a pompous jerk that you will come to adore by the end of the book. He has a lot baggage that he’s trying to work through; he’s a successful businessman, father of two adult kids and a silver FOX!

A chance meeting has them in a situation that neither one is happy about but they will do what they need to do - and try not kill each other. The angst, laughs and heartfelt conversations will make you fall in love with Mae and Ashe. Looking forward to the other books in this series.

I’m from Illinois, lived in CA and now live in AZ and I could relate to the details of the road-trip
