New York Times best-selling author Jill Sanders charms listeners with this hit series set in a quaint town on the coast of Maine that has characters galore!

Mystery writer JT has hidden away from the world on his private island since he published his first novel. Many fans believe it's because he's strange or eccentric, but the truth is much darker than everyone knows.

After Emma's very public, very nasty breakup with one of Hollywood's hottest actors, she needs a friend to lean on. After hitting it off with JT while filming his movie, she takes him up on his offer to let her stay at his secluded place to recover. She hadn't planned on her troubles following her there, or on being completely charmed by the man.

This book has a good storyline but was poorly edited. It affected my listening pleasure as I tried to put the pieces together from the mixed information throughout the story. The written story as well as the audio was poorly edited. I’ve enjoyed other books by Jill Sanders so I’m not sure what happened with this one.

Poorly edited.

I’ve listened to and read a lot of books by this author. The stories are usually enjoyable, but the audio often has a lot of repeated phrases as if the narrator redid a take but no one deleted the original take in the editing before releasing. In this book, however, entire situations are repeated. Emma had told JT that her prior boyfriend hit her, but she declined to press charges, then two chapters later another character tells JT about the incident and he seemingly didn’t know, and confronts Emma about it.

It is a good enough story, but issues like this are very jarring and make it less enjoyable. I wish the author would spend more time reviewing this both book and audio and reissue a fully-edited product.

A lot of continuity issues - very poorly edited
