From New York Times, USA Today, and number one Kindle best-selling author Gemma Halliday...

Tina Bender is the gossip columnist at the infamous L.A. Informer tabloid. She knows everything about everyone who's anyone. And she's not afraid to print it. That is, until she receives a threatening note, promising, "If you don't stop writing about me, you're dead." Now her managing editor Felix Dunn (from the High Heels Mysteries), has her teaming with a built bodyguard, a bubbly blonde, and an alcoholic obituary writer to uncover just which juicy piece of Hollywood gossip is worth killing over.

Amusing & entertaining story. Narrator Ashley Clements brings her own wit to the delivery. She's perfectly cast in the lead role, but also voices all the other characters with imagination.

Deliciously Different Fun & Funny Mystery

I love Gemma Halliday and have thoroughly enjoyed her books. This one unfortunately just didn’t hold my interest. I had high hopes but it fell short of the mark. Maybe it’s because I just couldn’t get invested in any of the characters, none were likable, not even the main character Tina. I also wasn’t impressed with the narration. The main character was fine but the other voices were said in such a monotone way it just lost it for me. Another issue I had was in the High Heels series, where we first meet Felix Dunn, he was British, how does he all of a sudden have an American accent? That part really bugged me. She got Marco right but why not Felix? Where’s the continuity?

Not impressed

This is an entertaining cozy type of mystery with suspense and action. I didn't like some things about Tina, the female lead, very much at all especially in the first half of the book. And parts of the book were slow moving. But it was an entertaining cozy mystery with a very good performance and a happy ending.

Very good performance that fits characters well
