Death can invade any home.

The town of Oak Hollow, Ohio is dying. Jobs are scarce, crime is rampant, and the authorities aren't helping.

But, when the infamous haunted house on Asher Street is quickly converted to a funeral home, it appears something has come to pick clean the bones of this once-proud Midwestern town.

Who is Lloyd Mnemic? Can his kindly offer of free funeral services be trusted?

If you were given the chance to speak to a deceased loved one, would you take it?

What if all it cost was a bit of your time?

This was such an incredible novel. Ben Young continues to be one of the best writers currently working. His prose is as good as it gets.

A truly remarkable horror novel

The story was absolutely chilling and very suspenseful and the narration took it over the top!

Outstanding story and narration

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

The story needed feedback from a good editor. Underdeveloped overall, anticlamactic resolutions to the conflicts, incoherent concepts to begin with.

The reader mispronounced a number of words (slough, chitin, a few others) and his spooky vouce for the main antagonist was more silly than fearsome.

Not great
