Any additional comments?

Home fires burning was a great second book. The story evolved naturally and new characters were added in a logical sequence. Be prepared, the scenes become so raw and disturbing I cringed at times.

Good sequel. Don't miss it.

Luke and Amy have to decide if they will continue their trek to his house or stay in their new sanctuary; however, the choice isn’t clear or easy. Luke is sucked into some new situations where he can be an asset, since his sense of duty and protection override all else. They continue to learn more about what has happened and is happening around the nation, while listeners learn more about Luke’s past. William Allen has created a very well thought out plot that continues throughout the series, and all the sub-plots are expertly woven together. Pat Young’s performance of this book is masterful in its voice and intonation, and really brings it to life for the listener. Highly recommended.

Various sub-plots, well thought out, action packed
