Brady Collins is juggling full-time fatherhood with the booming auto repair business he runs out of his barn. His ex-wife's sudden death has shaken him, but the devastating news that follows leaves him reeling: Sam is not his biological son.

When Sam's wealthy maternal grandparents decide they want custody of the child, Brady knows he's in for the fight of his life. Brady's attorney tips him off that one major life change would virtually assure him of winning guardianship of baby Sam at the final hearing: the stability of an impending marriage. And his friend Hope is willing to step in as the loving and devoted fiancée.

Local radio celebrity Hope Daniels has been driven by a solitary goal her entire life, and she's finally been offered her dream job—in Atlanta. Unfortunately, her arrangement with Brady requires her presence in Copper Creek, and she is faced with missing the chance of a lifetime or standing in the way of a dear friend’s dreams.

Both Hope and Brady would give their lives for beautiful Sam. But can they give their trust to one another? With this new novel in the Blue Ridge Romance series, Honeysuckle Dreams shines light on the complicated and beautiful angles of love.

Critic reviews

'Likable characters and the hope for a second-chance at love make for an endearing and unconventional romantic tale.'
'Swoony, fun and meaningful, the second book in the Blue Ridge Romance series should come with a 'grab your fan' warning! A friends-to-lovers, modern-day marriage of convenience and Denise Hunter? Yes, please!'
'This second series outing (after Blue Ridge Sunrise) is a feel-good romance with a happy yet realistic ending. With several of Hunter's books already adapted as Hallmark Channel movies, this offering by a master of the genre is sure to be another hit with her fans.'

The audio version of this story is pretty good. The narrator did a good job of changing voices as the characters changed. And I just love this story so much. I enjoyed being able to listen to the book in the car on the go.

I love this story in paperback or in audio!

Unfortunately the narrator ruined this book. The feel of Hopes character in the first book of the series was much different. The narrator made her very annoying.

I loved this continuation of the series. Denise always does a fabulous job, one of my favorites, and this did not disappoint.

Great Denise Hunter novel.

Denise Hunter is my absolute favorite author so I was very disappointed when this book didn't live up to my high expectations. I felt the plot was slow and predictable with not much conflict to keep my attention. It was also very unrealistic. I didn't feel any "spark" between Brady and Hope, actually Hope really annoyed me most of this book. Brady, however, is one of my favorite "book boyfriends". The narrator was not very good at distinguishing different characters and was too enthusiastic, especially in scenes where the tone didn't fit. Really hope the heft book in the series is better, as I did enjoy the first book immensely.

Not my favorite from Denise Hunter

The story is the only thing that that kept me listening. The narrator seemed very inexperienced and often times used the wrong voice for a character. Not that I could do any better myself it just made it difficult to listen to at times.

Great story, not so great narrator
