It's 2014 and being in any kind of romantic relationship - defined, undefined, or unrefined - is tough. Online dating and hook-up culture, Tinder and Snapchat, Friends with Benefits and Missed Connections. Our modern dating landscape doesn't look like anything that's come before, and we're the brave explorers trying to make sense of it.

This collection of practical advice tells you how to do it better. More freedom and less drama. More fun and less guilt. More connection and less loneliness. From the "Ugly Truths about Dating" to "Why Modern Dating is Better". From the "Things Men Will Always Find Attractive in Women" to "Ways to Know You're With the Wrong Guy". From "Advice for the Awkward Dater" to your new go-to questionnaire: "50 Questions to Ask Your Crush to See if They're Right for You." This is your map to the modern dating landscape, a practical guide to finding, friending, hooking up, breaking up, and falling in love in the 21st century.

I’m currently going down the rabbit hole of PUA (Pick Up Artistry). I’m actually not so much interested in being a player permanently, but I’m interested in going down that road for a few months and then settling down and getting married. I have a goal to have a few kids within a few years.

I’ve gone through some PUA books including by the noteworthy authors Neil Strauss, Real Social Dynamics, David Wygant, Mystery, and Roosh V.

This book is written from a more mature perspective and is written for both female as well as male. It’s a few different books in it, and one of the books towards the end gets vulgar and talks to guys- I liked that about this book, and to me it gave the author credibility.

I liked this book! I see that I’m the first to review it. I have no affiliation with this book or with the author and I’m writing this out if my own free will. I’m skeptical of some five star reviews myself, and I just want to give the author credit where it’s deserved, and say this book is worth going through.

My only criticism is it’s a little basic, and very slightly outdated (written in 2014 and refers to Facebook and Tinder). Still very worthwhile though.

Better than I thought! Also good for the maturing former PUA types

This audible seems more like a long list than a book being read to me.

If you don’t mind listening to the same recommendations over and over again, this might be a good listen. Also the swearing and references to sex could be made more appropriate and less offensive. If these bother you, best to skip this book. Not sure you learn anything you really don’t already know.

Some repetition and lots of swearing
