I Am Enough, A Gay Guy's Truths is the memoir of the author, James A. Fink; a father of four. At the age of 15, young James suddenly found himself a father-to-be with a woman 13 years his senior. After a years-long journey of self-discovery, James came out as a gay man in 2011.

Within his memoir are stories of how he perceived coming out, in contrast to the stark reality. Memories from childhood through adolescence include his sexual awakening, growth and discovery. Together, these tales and recollections led James to finding his true self, and the courage to come out to his wife and children. This is one man’s story about handling life changes, finding self-acceptance, and achieving personal growth on an extraordinary level.

definitely wasn't expecting the erotica but the storyline definitely hit home narrator made it seem like it was his own story to tell

Overall, it was great and engaging. It was clear to understand and it made you feel some type of way either happy, sad, aroused, it brought really good emotions.

The narrator also did their best to bring out those emotions verbally.

Emotionally Engaging.

Bitter and angry is all you can hear in this story. The delivery is judgmental and sanctimonious and is a poor attempt to frame the author as the hero. it is odd that he never seems to address the fact that his wife is a predator from the beginning or how that harmed or shaped his life.
The erotica is a sophmoric indulgence that distracts from a potentially sensitive experience of personal growth. And while he writes about his experiences with men, they are wrought with stereotypes and self loathing. He projects this onto the people and situations he encounters.
After all this time, he is still angry and bitter. I was hopeful for a meaningful, poignant story of one man's coming out story. Instead, I was exposed to a cringe worthy account of a person who is unhappy and unable to find a path forward.

Disappointing
