Deeply feeling and informative story

I learned so much about the lives of elephants and the work of those protecting them. Deeply touching, especially revealing the pain the protectors feel around the suffering of the elephants, a lesson to us all that caring can hurt but it’s worth it. It’s life. It’s love. It matters. I was also touched by the real parent-child relationships depicted throughout. Very rich. And Juliet Jones’ narration is wealthy in feeling, tone, tempo, and character voices. A real gem, all around.
