A completely nerve-shredding stand-alone thriller from internationally best-selling author Peter James, I Follow You will grip you until the very last word.

Marcus Valentine seemingly has it all: He's smart, charming, a successful doctor with a wife, three kids, and a job he loves. But something, or rather someone, is missing....

One morning, driving to work, he almost runs down a female jogger crossing the road. Marcus cannot take his eyes off her. She is identical to a girl he was infatuated with in his teens. A girl he has never forgotten.

Lynette had dumped him harshly. For years he has fantasized about seeing her again. Might that jogger be her, all these years later? Or is it just an incredible coincidence? Soon Marcus is consumed with thoughts of this woman. But when events take a tragic and unexpected turn, his obsession threatens to destroy them both.

But still he won't stop. Can't stop.

I liked the story overall but found that it drags on a bit and could've been more condensed - the author takes a long time describing the feelings and thoughts. The ending is a little rushed but good.

Good story with interesting twists

I wonder if there are any women on the editing team at all. The plot revolves a lot around women's healthcare issues and while each woman experiences things differently I didn't feel a lot of it was well researched or represented at all. To avoid spoilers I won't give details but I suspect women who have had experience with pregnancy and or oncology care would find some scenes distractingly unbelievable. If you can ignore those issues the story is engaging and I did find myself eager to know how it would end.

Engaging story but...

Ok, ok. He’s a sinister psychopath. It’s exhausting and unrealistic how far the doctor can and does go to ruin this woman’s life. And for what, because she reminds him of someone. I couldn’t even finish.

I read a lot of psychological thrillers. Though this one was a little more mellow in delivering shocking twists & turns it had a realistic vibe that was truly terrifying. Imagine a Doctor who's twisted obsession coutld alter your whole world.. The pace was easy to follow and kept me engaged the whole time, I found the narrator hard to understand at times, I had to listen closely for whatever reason sometimes those British accents don't go over my speakers very well but headphones made that a easy fix.

A psychological Thriller that is terrifyingly real
