Immortality sucks. You know what sucks more? Mortality.

Imogen's on the verge of getting everything she ever wanted. The man of her dreams, a talented, smart kid who loves her, some amazing friends, she's finally safe from the ancient creature who keeps ripping her to pieces every time she tries to access her deeper powers—and she's only one step away from finding the reincarnation of her dad. Mortality is in her grasp.

What more could she want? How about a little self-sabotage? A teenage stalker? A homicidal naiad? Maybe a demon-infested evil book club?

Yeah. Immortality sucks.

love this series so much. I think this might be my favorite one so far. I think the next bk in the series is the last one. I hope I'm wrong. great characters that u really come to care about, surprises, laughter, sadness, action they're all in this. and the narrator is absolutely perfect!! she must be an actor she's so good w the emotions in her voice.

these books get better & better!

Love Imogen, she’s the best!
The second by second plays of intense suffering, ptsd episodes, and nuclear assumptions are starting to get kind of tedious though.
I feel like less is more in some instances?

Maybe the author is trying to really let us experience Imogen’s pain? Unfortunately I need more than a taste to get the picture, and it takes a left turn into punishing.

Maybe it’s just because I’ve had way more than enough pain and stress in my life - who knows?

Also to be honest I’m concerned about the level of darkness I am seeing in this story, series, and all series going forward. Blink twice if you need help!!!

Love this series.. the scenes of suffering are a bit long and hard to not skip through
