After the attack on his life is thwarted, Anthony decides to deal with Custodes Daemonium once and for all. Everything began with them. They were the ones who sent Brianna after him, forcing him to embrace his true nature as the world's only Incubus, and while part of him was grateful because it gave him a wonderful bondmate, that didn't mean he planned to let them enslave him.

Fortunately, Custodes Daemonium is currently fighting a civil war. Trinity, leader of the War Maidens and the moderate faction that wants to ally with Anthony, is battling against Chloe and Hendricks—a pair of warhawks who want to enslave him.

The choice of who to side with is clear.

But to reach Trinity and aid her, Anthony must first travel to New Denver, where they will have to face off against Dr. Elena Vance, the CEO of ZenithCorp, known for creating the most advanced AI in the entire world.

another great one

I love the series and this is another great job to both author and voice actors. thanks for a job well done.

Inconsistencies and oversights.

So are we gonna just gloss over the fact that Brianna just basically said she regretted not doing her job right, aka killing Anthony?

Also, there are an awful lot of people acting like it wasn’t mentioned multiple times in multiple volumes how bond mates die with their incubus/succubus.

It’s a fun and well enough crafted story, but it seems like the author sometimes forgets his own rules he created for his world mechanics.

I’ve been really disliking the way Brianna acts and speaks. She was all holier than thou over Cecilia over kidnapping Anthony as if she didn’t start her relationship with him with an assassination attempt. Cecilia is also an entitled brat. Marianne is the only lovable member of his harem tbh. She’s at least honest and genuinely sweet.

I am sincerely sad this book ended so freaking fast. I mean seriously 9 chapters. I see so much potential with this book and it's going to be difficult to want to continue if I have to wait months at a time just to get small portions of story.

other than that it's a really good story and even this short addition is great a little rushed but still good. hope the next is just as good if not better and longer.

Another great book !! Just wish it the books and Audible books came out a little sooner !! But I do highly recommend this book!!!

What about the Girls?

Chapter 9 left off with Brianna, Cecilia, Marianne, and the three war Maidens with ice dropping down. Did they survive? Were the saved just as Anthony and Trinity won the fight? Tell us! The story feels a bit ripped off before the epilogue.
