World famous violinist Gail Owen is devastated after a car accident leaves her unable to play her beloved instrument. She withdraws from her privileged life to an old farmhouse in Rhode Island.

Romi Shepherd is homeless in New York City and barely survives by singing for pennies in the subway. After being wrongfully arrested, she hitchhikes back to Rhode Island and, out of money and options, hides in a secret room in the house she grew up in, unaware that the new owner is about to move in permanently.

When Gail discovers Romi has been living in her house, she is curiously drawn to the young woman. Romi is torn between feeling guilty for lying to Gail and enamored of her, and she fears the truth will set them on a path toward heartbreak.

Honestly speaking I was lured in by Keira Grace narration originally. Grace does an amazing job bring this book to life. Wish poor Romi wasn’t so hard on herself. This was enjoyable listen and growing to really enjoy Gun Brookes story telling, Thought this book was going to in the same direction as Soul Unique and was surprised. Hopefully it makes it way to audio as well. I would diffidently purchase additional books if Keira Grace was picked to narrate.

A bit far fetched on the storyline and I still liked it. Gun is a good author, characters were nicely developed and the story did flow. The narrator was excellent, I was quickly able to tell the characters apart by the tones in her voice and her speech patterns. Nicely done!

It's kinda eh for me. Somewhat confused when listening. Narrator does her best I think it's just the story.
