Unbeknownst to him, an app he used every single day of his life hijacks his consciousness and uploads it into a synthetic engine of war known as a sleeve. Along with countless others, he has been conscripted into the Undying Legion, charged with fighting a secret, unending war in the name of humanity.

Funny and entertaining despite the dystopia!

I’m a big fan of Joe’s from his podcasting so I decided to give his SF a listen and it did NOT disappoint! Highly recommend to anyone with a dark sense of humor

Another Banger From Joe

Fun, fast, and exciting from start to finish. I love Joe’s writing style, I would describe it as effortlessly gripping.

Not much of a book.

Joe is a hell of a Podcaster, but he's not much of a novelist. This book was written better by John Scalzi twenty years ago.

I tried.

I gave this listen a full hour of my life. I was never convinced he loved his wife. I never got the feeling he was a person to start out with at all. Maybe this was all resolved later in the story but I didn’t want to waste any more of my valuable listening time finding out.
