The NPCs in one small corner of the map now seek their own path instead of remaining content with what they were born knowing. While some choose to look inward and explore themselves, others reach outward into new lands and untapped resources.

However, many more mysterious corners remain where a cosmic infection that abhors such displays of self-consciousness still twists and writhes throughout Mother Sana.

When the Blackmoor royal entourage sails across the sea to visit a powerful distant Town, Jack focuses his gaze on finding out why these virtual souls fixated on their verdant gardens for thousands of years instead of the rotting world around them.

While this series has had a threat to multiple universes since it started, I didn't really feel the pressure until this book. I've enjoyed seeing the world built up, and the floors in the tower are usually pretty creative, but the thing that happened after the separation was a fantastic way of inserting loss into a story without just killing our maiming someone. Can't wait to keep going with this series

The story has evolved, bringing in more world and Kingdom-building.
Every book has teased at the idea that the virtual world can be (or always has been) more than just a game. At this point of the journey, the heroes are forced on focusing to prove it.

The thrill and fear of failure, which arguably has been lacking in the story recently, is felt when a genuine threat is introduced. After a string of clever victories and creative teamwork has carried the good guys for a good amount of time, it's sobering when an overwhelming danger is immediately thrust into your face...or thoat.

More places are discovered, with people having their own cultures and way of life keeps the world interesting. The narrators truly shine at these moments by adding an even more range a voices, making every character feel unique.

While there isn't a lot of traditonal action that you'd normally find in a Litrpg, the amount of cheesing taking place absurdly enjoyable. Seeing the NPCs development even more, finding ways to think outside the box as they climb the tower has yet to get old. Hopefully, this trend continues even outside of battles and their newfound awareness is emphasized in town/kingdom management.

This book brought back the feeling of the desperate struggle that made this series so interesting to begin with. As the story evolves further, hopefully the challenges continue to evolve with it.

Definitely my favorite so far, there is a good murder mystery, much more tower stuff, a bit of kingdom expansion, JTJ does a great job with southern Louisiana/Mississippi accents, and the "pirate island" place is really neat and has so much room for story growth. Great job SBT, great work Prax!

Best yet! and alt sings!!!
