Masterful use of the English language! Very enjoyable!
I read this when I was a teenager.

great story

It is nevertheless an impressive achievement, original in conception, rich in themes, formidable in architecture, and powerful in its effects.

I really liked the language and the story....

I had so much fun listening to the courtly / slightly old-fashioned English and the way the story is told. Also, to me Christopher Preece does a great Job narrating it. Recommended.

An Awesome English Classic!!

Yes, it's been a time since I read Ivanhoe for the first time. I read it in Spanish and I loved it. Now I Had the chance to enjoy listening in the original language.
