JET IV - Reckoning pits Jet against the deadliest threat yet: an enemy with endless resources who will stop at nothing to destroy her. From the mountains of Indonesia to the streets of Washington, Jet discovers in a breakneck-paced roller-coaster of action that danger lurks in the unlikeliest of places and nothing is as it seems.

I like the premise of Jet. I have always enjoyed tough women, and Jet is up there with the best of them. Narration is spot on and it is a good story.
However, I think Jet does her daughter no favors by kidnapping her from a loving adoptive family. She constantly puts her in horrendously dangerous situations. Hannah would have been better off with her adoptive parents. Seems selfish on Jet's part.
That is really the only criticism I have.

Quite good, but sometimes troubling

I'm listening t the series in order beginning with the prequel. All five novels so far have been exceptionally good espionage thrillers. JET is an ex-Mossad female operative who now wants to fade into the background and raise her toddler daughter in peace. Her past keeps coming back to haunt her as her enemies seek to kill her and her daughter. Actor Braden Wright does a great job of narration. I highly recommend this entire series.

The JET series is addictive!

The first book was fun. The second book was similarly fun. The third book began to stray into romance novel territory. This one has officially jumped the shark, and I won't read any more. It was entertaining enough, had some good action sequences, the usual fascination with weapons and tactics . . . but the plot was strictly romance novel fluff and coincidence and soap-opera dialogue . . . and the reader. Oh, the reader. He's the second reader this year who doesn't know how to read dialogue, doesn't understand interjections of 'she said' as part of the flow of the sentence, instead reading them as separate bits of dialogue. Oy vey. And the voices . . . sure, readers of Jet novels need to be able to do men''s voices and women's voices, and he give it a good effort, but flails, especially for the Latina. Too much: no more.
