She’s the woman he can’t live without.

He can’t risk screwing up their relationship by sleeping with her.

Linc Kingston doesn’t accept anything less than perfection. Not in his billion-dollar business or in his personal life. He has it all, except one thing: his personal assistant and best friend in his bed, moaning his name. No matter how much Linc wants her, she’s completely off-limits.

Jordan Greene grew up the daughter of the housekeeper at the Kingston estate, where she met and bonded with Linc at a young age, despite their economic differences. But no matter how close they are now or how much their attraction simmers beneath the surface, they’re still from two different worlds. Besides, Jordan isn’t about to risk losing her best friend for one sensual night.

Jordan might be the only woman who can handle Linc and his domineering, bossy attitude, but beneath that gruff exterior is a vulnerable man who, despite his wealth, has had a less-than-charmed life. And when Linc’s father dies, she’s there for him - unwavering in her friendship.

Until one night of passion and a positive pregnancy test changes everything.

I really enjoyed this story by Carly Phillips and it was a great start to this new series. I love Connor Crais’ voice and have always been a fan of his narration. Mackenzie Cartwright is a newer narrator to me and I think she did a wonderful job.

Great story & narration

I listened almost straight through which is a good sign for any review. Although this contained some of the usual romance components, it wasn’t the same old story. I think she’s done a good job of creating a new take on old elements. The characters were good and the narration as well. I also like that it makes you want to read/listen to the rest of the series, but it doesn’t leave a cliffhanger as far as the main characters are concerned. The cliffhanger/teaser into the next in the series is actually a bit of a relief for the reader as far as the character of Chloe is concerned. This was included with my membership and I am glad I took the bait. There’s drama but it’s not too heavy to handle or to interfere with your enjoyment of the story. I also liked that this wasn’t so lengthy that the characters had a lot of time to wallow.

Same elements with a fresh twist

Quick but fun listen. The characters were not as developed as I hope but the sex was great. I was not able to connect with the characters as much as I did in the Dare Nation series. It lacked depth. The book is shorter than usual and lots of third person narration. I prefer first person narration since we have great narrators to give them justice anyway. I wish we get to hear more of epilogue.

3rd person narration. too short. lack depth
