i feel for everything Keri went through. and nobody deserves to be treated like that.. but I dont understand why she stills listen to mother,after she turned 18.. and that girl Joan also.. smh..her mother is a horrible person, this book frustrates me,though.. because Keri stands up for herself amongst Vince and that girl she lives with but when it comes to her horrid mother, she goes with her and still lets her speak to her like a dog

The terrible abuse mentally that Keri still underwent as an adult!

The truth about how abuse can be so bad and yet never discovered by outsiders. It was nice to hear how Keri had to overcome everything to live a normal life
