Special Agent Jerry Simmons relocates from Toledo, Ohio to the FBI's White Collar and Organized Crime Unit in West Palm Beach, Florida -- a feeding ground for sharks of all types, both fish and con-artists. He finds himself with an assignment to investigate a simple complaint filed by a businessman against his partner, which soon turns up connections to the Canadian Mafia, a moon-worshipping jewelry thief, and the world of the rich and famous - an assignments that unwittingly puts him on a path that will change his life forever.

In the midst of his investigation, Simmons meets Dr. Rachel Watson, a young veterinarian who shakes his bachelor world and makes him if he might be falling in love for the first time. On only their second date, he and his partner are called out on an assignment leading to the capture of a murderous fugitive.

When Simmons is injured during the arrest, his relationship with Rachel gets its first test. Then, months later, as their romance develops, he volunteers to help his former office raid an informant/drug lord he once knew. When he is shot, just miles from her family's home in Ann Arbor, a new strain on their relationship forces each to decide between love and career.

Excellent

I enjoyed the narration by Peppers and thought he had a clear voice and added to this audio. The story was good of Special Agent Jerry who is assigned to Florida, and life will change for him. Meeting the mafia and Rachel for a love interest. Enjoyable and was give audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Worst Reader EVER! !

narrator was HORRIBLE! ! ! He ruined what was already a mediocre story. Narrator should find a different career
