What if our understanding of Christianity and politics is fundamentally flawed?

King of Kings is the result of needing to rethink political theology in recent years. In it, James Baird presents a bold and compelling case for a radical proposition: that government must promote Christianity as the only true religion.

Drawing from Scripture, the Reformed confessions, and the insights of the American Founders, this concise but powerful primer offers a clear and urgent call to Christians. Short enough to listened to in one sitting, it provides a gateway into a rich tradition that many have forgotten—and a vision for recovering it today.

Very Timely

It presents a very robust biblical case for how a Christian should think about politics and government. It is extremely concise. You can listen to it or read it in one sitting if you want to. Very desperately needed by the church in America today. I would give it 100 stars if I could.

This is a good introductory to the people with interest in understanding the role of government from the perspective of the federal model.

I have been reading about the perspective of civil government from theologians like Samuel Rutherford, John Calvin, James Bannerman, etc.

It is incredible the richness of the Bible we are missing as Christian’s for avoiding politics. Read the book and dedicate time to dig deeper and the topic. And honor the king Jesus, king of kings and Lord of lords.

It is brief and to the point.

The author did a fantastic job laying out the case for why we as Christians must be involved in the affairs of our country and not hide our heads in the sand. This is the book I have needed for years to put together all the bits and pieces of this position that I have never quite been able to connect the dots on before. 100% recommend.

Excellent excellent excellent.

This book has a succinct explanation of how Christians are to view the political sphere. It thoroughly answers many common objections, yet does so pithily. Highly recommend!
