From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Willow Winters comes a steamy, small-town romance.

A drunken bet that led to a fake relationship? My naive little heart still hoped it would last....

We were never meant to be together.

He’s a bartender with noncommittal tendencies.

I’m looking for…the opposite. Commitment. Period.

But drinks and a bet led to something it shouldn’t have: a fake relationship. Worse, a first date, a first kiss…and then more.

He’s addictive and I can’t bring myself to accept the reality.

That it’s all a lie and I’m fooling myself by thinking he could want more.

That I could change him.

He’s mine for as long as I keep on pretending like this is just for fun.

As if I don’t want more....

Like when he whispers my name, I pretend it doesn’t make my heart flip.

Like when he holds me at night, I pretend I don’t want to lay in his bed every night.

It's just a bet; just a lie...until it isn't.

This book starts off with her being a customer at his bar, they become friends and then they make a bet to become fake partners. That didn’t last long even though she wanted forever and a family while he thought he wasn’t ready.

He takes her out a couple of times and they have a couple of dates at his bar.

They have fantastic chemistry and as their connection grows their feelings deepen.

It’s so cute to mister I don’t want ANYTHING to do with commitment be as quick to fall.

Loved that the third act breakup wasn’t exactly that but was more of a neither one of them manned up and opened up lol

This gem was narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Lydia Dornet. He was perfect for Charlie! She was perfect for Grace but her guy voice sounds like a teenage boy instead of a grown man so this would have been better in duet format in that aspect

Cute & Fun!

perfect book to read on a lazy day of vacation. Narrators were just wonderful. I could listen to the Teddy all day long with his sultry voice with a hint of country.

I have only read one other book by Willow Winters so when I got the opportunity to listen to Knocking Boots I jumped at it. I love stories set in a small town and the narrators Teddy Hamilton and Lidia Dornet did a fabulous job bringing Charlie and Grace to life for me.

Charlie and Grace want totally different things out of life but when circumstances bring these two together, will it be the start of an enduring love or will they crash and burn before they even have a chance? The chemistry between them sizzles but Charlie has baggage and is not looking for a committed relationship.

I enjoyed the slow burn as their romance blossomed and I loved this couple. Despite their outlooks they really do blend well together and I was cheering for them to get a happily ever after.

Both Teddy and Lidia’s performances really brought out the push and pull of the relationship and I found myself laughing out loud at times and was left with a smile on my face when the story ended.

Great story and narration
