The second installment of the Kraken Mage was alright. I honestly prefer the more slice of life feel in the first volume as the fantasy action was just alright but nothing special. There no creative use of tentacle power and it wants to be pratical and talk about how dumb bikini armor but like its a fantasy erotica, dumb stuff should be encourage. Even from pratical standpoint, other fantasy story manage to be practical while exciting and creative at time, while the book was a bit uninspiring. Also the first sex scene felt very similar to the first book.

Putting my criticism aside and focusing on the positive, I do like the harem and their relationship. While the battle were just okay, I do like how it is used to progress how they feel about each other. The backstory and interaction was solid. Also I do like the small twist at the end as a person who like con man.

As for the erotic scenes, the narrator does a fantastic job as always. I mean the last sex scene was fun and can't wait to see what more woman join the harem. That being said, again they can be more creative, it is a fantasy setting afterall.

Overall, it was an alright story that is just entertaining enough because of the narrator, but honestly weaker than the first book.

Alright fantasy, great erotic story.
