Shirley Wallace and her four sons return to her childhood home on Pope Mountain in Jubilee, Kentucky, with a lifetime of hardship behind them, hoping to find peace and begin their lives anew. Eldest brother Aaron Pope returns to his life as a police officer and is settling in just fine. Then Aaron's investigation into an attempted murder leads him right to Dani Owens. She may hold the key to a long-lost part of the Pope family's past, and more importantly, she may hold the key to Aaron's heart.

The same plot as every Hallmark movie. The story is predictable but sweet. Everyone always lives happily ever after.

This could be a Hallmark movie

The crime story and subsequent investigation was very good. But the “Love Story” was unnecessarily long and involved. We get it - You loved each other move on.

Should have been shorter

The love for family in this book was remarkable. It was sweet and charming with some interwoven stories tied in. I thought the narrator did an excellent job. There were so very many characters in this book and sometimes it was hard to keep up with them all. Also, there was so much repetition. I nearly gave it a four-star review, but by the end I had fallen in love with all of the characters and found myself in tears which meant it was a really good book.

So much Love

It was ok, truly. If you like some sappy romance with your mysteries then you’ll love it.
I would like to say that you need native accents when reading. This lady did a fine job, but her accent was wrong. That gives a narration a feeling of being fake.
At least to me.

A bit like a Hallmark movie.

Very enjoyable to read. I love reading this Arthur's work. I hope to read more about this family.
