This Audiobook will take you through the basics of Portuguese with Basic Bootcamp, All About, and Pronunciation lessons.

The five Basic Bootcamp lessons each center on a practical, real-life conversation. At the beginning of the lesson, we'll introduce the background of the conversation. Then, you'll hear the conversation two times: one time at natural native speed, and one time with English translation. After the conversation, you'll learn carefully selected vocabulary and key grammar concepts. Next, you'll hear the conversation one time at natural native speed. Finally, practice what you have learned with the review track. In the review track, a native speaker will say a word or phrase from the dialogue, wait three seconds, and then give you the English translation. Say the word aloud during the pause. Halfway through the review track, the order will be reversed. The English translation will be provided first, followed by a three-second pause, and then the word or phrase from the dialogue. Repeat the words and phrases you hear in the review track aloud to practice pronunciation and reinforce what you have learned.

Excellent Starting point for beginners

Great Starting point for those with long travel times and short access in evenings to read the online reference guide to visually practice the pronunciations with the writing

Disorganized

The feeling as the chapters go along is that the next topic is anybody’s guess since the instructors are constantly jumping all over the place. It doesn’t feel like there’s a logical progression but rather a capricious format. There’s a healthy amount of effort spent on promoting the country and by the time that’s over it’s hard to remember the particular language lesson. In actuality (although not mentioned) the State Department travel information recommends an increasing level of caution to visitors due to increasing crime in the country.

No Portuguese Practice

The explanations should be included while teaching the lesson. This book is excessively explanation-based. There is barely any Portuguese speaking practice.

A very basic beginning

Skip this one, it's extremely basic and most of the content is trivia about the country of Brazil. don't pay for this one for to the next in the series.
