3rd update; the storytelling has evolved and flows much better by the second half of the 1st book. I’m glad I continued to listen past the confusing introduction. There are a few items in the storyline that catch me: The story continues to be choppy and confusing and now there are heavy themes of a woman being forced upon against her will, and it is described in moderate detail.

It can be confusing when it switches between Bella and Donna’s perspectives. Omg I just got that: Bella&Donna! Lol. As well some of the personality traits are quite inflammatory and triggering (for me). I suspect Bella to have BPD alongside adhd.
Lol, hello growing up in my home!

Unfortunately the narrator cannot do a southern accent in any sense of the word, which is a bit distracting, but I have a hunch she doesn’t live in the US and is already battling a Canadian accent, so fair enough. Otherwise she seems fine!

Btw I too am neurospicy. Buck up, sister - your brain isn’t wonky. It’s just evolved and this world is in an emotional rut and unwilling to accept new ways of being wired. Be kind with yourself.

Update: TW/: non consensual physical relations. Flows better by the end of book 1, worth finishing!
