But convincing her they are destined to be together gets much harder when she is kidnapped by an old enemy. In order to survive, Frankie may have to reveal her secret, and Tanner may have to accept what seems impossible, or reject the love of his life.

Informative and Entertaining

I listened to another book in this series first and it was so interesting I had to find more. I’ve always been interested in native stories and this was informative and entertaining.

What a surprise!!

This book was such a surprise! The story line is great. I do recommend for paranormal book lovers.

This was pretty good. I’ve never read/listened to a story that was about Native American legends. Being a lover of learning about different cultures, I really enjoyed learning about the animal guides. The narration was also very well done.
Overall, a very well done story.

Age-gap shifter romance

I really enjoyed the world-building centered around Native American shifter legends. The leap to romance felt pretty abrupt, though. Overall, Frankie is a very relatable character. Although she does not want to lead the Wisdom Counsel, she knows she cannot allow her depraved cousin to do so. Her journey from mourning and avoidance to standing against the restrictive new leadership was profound.

The narrator did a good job, though I would have enjoyed more vocal variation for the women's dialogue and points of view.
