Enjoyable

An enjoyable, spicy, intriguing and fun series. Each story had me captivated throughout and left with a smile on my face. I enjoyed each story. Marie James is a wonderful story teller. Loved this series.

Excellent story line the voices do not match the characters.

The voices sound older and out of place for the characters, very irritating to listen to.

Author is great but not these books

The plot of all 3 books is that the h and H aren’t honest with each other. Like ridiculous levels of emotional immaturity. I love other Marie James books so I kept reading. But I started skipping 5 chapters at a time and nothing had happened. The h and H were still having the same endless inner monologues about how the other person doesn’t understand what they feel (because they’ve never said anything). The narrators had great voices but the women were all petulant and whiney and stubborn in an emotionally immature way - and that wasn’t all because of the writing. The narrator could have made it sound like the women were teasing or playing instead of being bratty.

Woah where to start with this series….

I loved all the Cerberus books and Blackbridge Security series! They all had great plots and were super entertaining! Purchased all of them on here!
I went into the Lindell collection with the same expectations as all her other books… thinking they would be entertaining, have some suspense, good storylines etc, but it was the opposite…
1) both narrators were ok on their own for the most part but the male narrator made the female voice sound like a raging psychopath! Did not match the way the female narrator sounded. Was just confusing!
2) because of how the 2 main characters were written in all 3 books, it was non stop miscommunication with all the main characters and none of the characters had any sort of knowledge to talk about their feelings with one another! They all jumped to conclusions and fights blew up between couples! I felt like I was watching 3 different high school romances happen and fall apart cause they were all too immature to understand how to adult! It was frustrating and I was super close to having this series as a DNF.
3) the 2 main female characters in book 2 & 3 are awful human beings and treat people like dirt! Those men deserved better!
Finally… thank goodness this series was free to listen to cause I would have wanted my credit back if I used one!
Also…. Marie James’ other series were great! Especially Blackbridge Security! The Lindell series was just not it though.
