This book had me laughing, close to tears at some parts and in others my mouth was hanging open so much my coworkers started given me weird looks. I couln't put it down so I finished it by the end of the work day. This book is a work of fiction which I believe gave the author more room to weave this fascinating story, I loved it and can't wait to listen to the next book. If you're a person who can't handle graphic adult situations then you need to skip this hench the open mouth part of my day LOL!

A great Listen

The author really painted a picture of the times and temperature of the setting in New Orleans back then. Johnnie developed seamlessly as the story progressed.
