Aria is no stranger to tragedy. Fifteen years ago, a family outing took the lives of her father and baby sister, leaving remaining members of this fractured family struggling with their own guilt - real and imagined.

At 25, Aria believes she can reinvent herself through her planned marriage with all its promise of a family of her own. Her infertility changes her life as swiftly and irrevocably as the urban landscape around her.

With prose that is both eloquent and unflinching, Jones charts the emotional journey of her characters as they explore the painful territory of truth and the healing landscape of forgiveness.

This book was very thought provoking and thrilling. There were many twist and turns that I did not see coming. I wish there was a part 2.

Very great read!!!

I gave all high marks for this but…the narrators voice was TOO relaxing! I had such a hard time driving & listening to her because her soothing voice made me sleepy. I mean I enjoyed it throughly but she needs to read bedtime books if she doesn’t. Now, the main character had me so upset! I’m glad he didn’t go through with it! The story was unconventional & a very great story overall. Beautifully written & I truly felt like I was there by those huge trees! It wasn’t predictable either. I did t realize I had just finished with another one of her books until I realize her writing styles & her love of Atlanta. I’ll certainly will check out more from this author! It’s like poetry!

This is my second book by Ms. Jones. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Her storytelling connects you to the characters especially the main character. It’s a story of family, love, loss, life long grief, true friendship and self-discovery.

Unlike some of the reviews, I think the reader did a wonderful job with the characters. I could actually close my eyes and visualize what each character look like based on the sound of her voice.

I highly recommend it.

This book gave me a reprieve from the usual dark and morbid things I read lately. I liked the down home feeling of southern roots and family themed concepts.
The narrator did a good job.

Decent story

I needed more with this story. The end perhaps, should have been the beginning. The narrator was a bit monotone. I believe I would have been able to feel the story of an appropriate narrator had been chosen.
