Who was your favorite character and why?

Eillia I loved in previous books. But I hate to say I also enjoyed Tamesine and hope to learn more about her issues in future installments.

Have you listened to any of Natalie Duke’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is a very well spoken narrator so I enjoyed this audible book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The explosion that takes yet another vampires life and leaves Eillia and the others clinging.

I wasn't sure when I saw the narrator change, but I loved it! I think Natalie nailed it..just as good as Pyper...possibly even smoother than Pyper...Pyper has a certain cadence, its unique...Kind of like Marguerite Gavin...I love this story, and how all these books can be taken as stand alone, but tie into each other...Eillia and Daniel were meant to be, and I am on to book 4!!!

A GREAT PLOT & A BITTER-SWEET ROMANCE

This listen takes place a year after the first book and finds Eillia slowly coming to terms over the brutal death of her long time lover during the attack on Bas's home and Daniel, the guilty Mercenary that led the attack who's working hard and drinking harder, is trying to drown his guilt. Both of them are drawn by fate to the same small town in Alaska where Daniel, full of regrets and haunted by the face of the beautiful woman he buried but can't forget, is in a bar trying to drown his memories when he suddenly sees that exact beautiful face looking back at him through the crowded bar..... Mmmm delicious!!

As Daniel and Eillia find themselves drawn to each other neither one knowing why there's a sizzling chemistry which leads to a much fought against great romance that's touching, tender, passionate, heartbreaking and sexy there's also plenty of action as evil Alvin and crazy First Blood Tamesine try to carry out their revenge. With plot twists, surprises, suspense and loveable characters from the previous books and some new ones too, makes this a well written new Vampire series to follow.

Worth a credit? Exciting, very enjoyable, well narrated and a listen I just didn't want to stop certainly makes this, IMHO, a very creditworthy addition to my guilty pleasure of an ever expanding list of PNR books.
