The Lord of Hawkfell Island came back to tragedy from a voyage. His wife and children were murdered along with others in his authority.  to get revenge, he went to the murderers island To bring him back for trial. The murderer was elsewhere, but his sister was taking care of his keep. He decided to take the sister captive, so she would be his bargaining chip. Fast paced story. with interesting characters. Good narrative.

Ok supposition, but historically off enough that I, not a hundred percent up on history, noticed it. It also was way way too complicated a story line. And finally so long that I got bored & just moved to my next book. Too bad.
