I had already finished the book the first time when it first dropped an audiobook, then I was able to meet Annaleigh Sbrana, and actually hear what her goal was in writing the book and the structure of the book, then I listened to it now twice more and I have to say that I've definitely fallen in love with the book, even more so, and meeting, Annaleigh was absolutely amazing and I'm definitely looking forward to a book 3 hint hint. But also I could see this becoming a miniseries, so Netflix better get on it.
I don't want to spoil anything for the readers of the book, I do want to say that I absolutely love how relationships changed from book one to book 2, even though there was heartbreak it towards the end of the book, it was nice. How things came together and how mysteries somewhat unfolded.

I didn’t know what I was missing until I finished this book.

The FMC is a stunning example of how a woman can embody so many layers—strong, soft, fierce, vulnerable, all at once. The love interests? Chef’s kiss. The MMC has officially joined my top 5: the strong, silent, deadly type with banter reserved only for you—a personal favorite trope. And beyond the romance, the world-building, the found family dynamics, and the rich high fantasy setting? Absolutely top tier.

An adventure full of danger and hope

I really enjoyed this second book as much as the 1st. The storyline was addicting and pulls you in!
