Loved it!

This was an exciting story with twists and turns. Filled with adventure and love. I recommend it!

Excellent

I really enjoyed this novel in Jennifer Blake's Louisiana History series. The characters and plot held my attention from the start.

Wonderful romantic adventure

I loved the story, it has adventure, intrigues, smugglers and of course romance. Jennifer Blake writes beautifully it’s so engaging her books are impossible to put down...
Unfortunately narrator didn’t do this story justice, I listened on 1.25 speed and still it was hard work...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I have just made my third attempt at listening to this book I have listened to almost all of the audio books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed them, but I just can't get through this one.Constant gasping breaths every few words, shouting, whispering....and 'mouth sounds'

Who was your favorite character and why?

The characterization was so poor....no chance to choose a favourite character which doesn't do justice to the book.

How could the performance have been better?

PLEASE a re-read by a different narrator.

Horrible Narrator

I have no idea how to rate this book. The narrator is simply horrible. As such, I am unable to provide a sound and helpful review. I could not get past the first 3 chapters. Request a "re-read' please.
