A glimpse into Freddie Mercury's secret world

"Freddie Mercury’s Secret Life and Love" contains journal entries from Queen's front man, as shared by the daughter he had with long-time love, Mary Austin. After critiquing the 2018 biographical drama film "Bohemian Rhapsody," the book reveals Freddie's personal thoughts and opinions from his writings. It is noted in the book, Mercury started writing in his journal when Austin became pregnant with the couple's secret daughter.

Through the author, Lesley-Ann Jones, Mercury's daughter reveals what she learned from her famous father before his death at the age of 45 in November 1991. The book details Mercury's challenging youth, ultimately being sent away from his parents for a boarding school. Jones outlines the rock icon being sexually abused, developing a love of music, and his Freddie Mercury transformation. The book attempts to clear up many of the misconceptions that the public have about Mercury's life.

"Freddie Mercury’s Secret Life and Love" explains how he met the members of Queen, fell in love, and his excesses in the 1980s. The book explores his much discussed relationship with his wife, and their continuous love for each other. Despite his lifestyle, Mercury remained devoted to her. I’m still not sure I buy into the whole daughter of Freddie thing . Not much new in this other than the supposition that Freddie had a daughter who somehow no one knew anything about
