True love is in the details for the Jersey shore’s premier wedding planner in this heart-swooning series about big dreams and happy endings from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

Avery Sunshine might not have a soul mate of her own, but she still believes in happily ever after - for her clients. Making dreams come true is her business at Sunshine Bridal, which she runs with her two sisters. When her best friend announces her engagement, Avery is thrilled to take charge of the giddy bride-to-be’s big day. Less thrilling? Her best friend's arrogant and demanding brother, who just so happens to be the man of honor.

Carter Ross’s first instinct: call 911. He promised to always take care of his impulsive little sister, and he honors that vow. Even if it means taking over her wedding, where he is sure Avery will fail. At best, Avery is unpredictable. At worst, if she’s anything like the spitfire of a college girl he remembers, the main event could run wild.

With Avery and Carter wrestling for control, tempers heat up. So does the spark of attraction they’re fighting with every kiss. As the wedding draws near, it’s time to reconcile a rocky past and make a decision that could change everyone’s lives. Because what they’re rebelling against looks a lot like love.

This was a great book. Enjoyed the story and performance. Is there a sequel? Would love Bella and Gabe’s story or Taylor and Pierce’s.

Wonderful Story

On my daily quarantine walks, I’ve been listening to more audiobooks than ever! This story was so cute, we meet Avery, who runs a wedding planning business with her sisters, and her best friend Ally, who is thrilled to be getting married, with her very best friend running the show. However, Ally’s older brother, Carter, has always thought that Avery was a bad influence on Ally. He raised Ally after their parents died and he wants the best for her, so he vows to help take over her wedding planning as her “man of honor.” Along the way, his animosity towards Ally turns towards attraction and love! I recommend this story & look forward to reading the next in the series.

Very cute & fun

*SIGH* I loved this one from beginning to end! Avery and her sisters are wedding planners and Avery's best friend from college is getting married and wants her to plan her wedding and fit it in this summer. No problem except it also comes with her brother as her best man and Carter and Avery don't get along...until they do. This is a slow start and Carter doesn't believe in love but when he falls, he falls hard. This one was so, so, SO good. I cannot wait for the rest of the sisters to get their happy too.

I have mixed feelings about this book because while I loved the Sunshine Sisters dedication to their brides, their attention to the all minute details of wedding planning and the overall bridal business storyline I didn’t like Carter at all. Granted, both characters behave childishly which sets the wrong tone for the entire storyline much less a professional relationship. From the beginning of the story Carter is an argumentative a$$ who pretends all is well in front of his sister while he undermines Avery at every turn. He becomes a villain when he uses insider information from the bride to hijack Avery’s plans in an attempt to destroy her confidence and her business decisions. Granted, both characters act childishly which in itself is a huge problem with the storyline but the constant bickering was a real turnoff for me. There’s a big difference between a know it all and a man who sets out to destroy a woman so the sudden uncontrollable lust between the two was not believable to me. In the end I survived this book more than I enjoyed it. Samantha Brentmoor’s performance was well acted and Brian Pallino did the best he could with a character liked Carter who eschews messy emotions.

Carter turned me off.
