Action Packed Adventure!

Books 6 and 7 of this inventive, unique, military science fiction story are fast-paced with lots of action, hand-to-hand combat, gun fights, space battles, violence and dark humor. Most of my favorite characters are back with a few new ones added to the mix. Additional background about Lucky is artfully divulged. The plot is cleverly written with intriguing twists and turns. Among the reasons that I enjoy this series are the resourceful, witty, snarky characters and their innovative adventures as well as the excellent world building created by Joshua James. The narration by Mark Boyett was spot-on. I was provided a free review copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Lucky’s adventures are hilariously fun

The quick pace and the constant although obvious turns in the books are quite refreshing. Not ground breaking writing here, but relentlessly fun.

Incessant Action Military Sci-Fi Stories

I enjoyed the second box set of "Lucky's Marines" series as much as the first one. This box set consisted of the 6th and 7th books in the series. Both stories were non-stop action. I enjoyed the comradery of Lucky and his team. There were flashes of humor in the dialogue and in some of the situations in which the characters were involved. I'm looking forward to the next story. Mark Boyett's narration was skillful, and his performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

What A fun, Sticky, Messy, Funny Ride !!

Okay, I have listened to the first sets of Luck's Marines adventures and I found them just this side of insanely unbelievable (and I did not say which side "this side" was). Anyway, this offering was more of similar, but not quite, the same... Oh BOY!! What a rollercoaster ride Lol ! and funny too. Mark Boyett does such an excellent job of narration. The story plot is crazy, but all the better a vehicle to contain and convey the mad antics of the main characters. Loading the next offering PDQ !!
