Discover the art of fostering life-giving, life-long friendships and the individual habits that make them possible.

Loneliness is deadly. We know this psychologically and spiritually. Sin wants us to be alone, and it often feels like today's world is tailor-made to keep us that way.

In Made for People—by bestselling author of The Habits of the Household—Justin Whitmel Earley explains why God made us to experience deep friendship and how we can cultivate them despite a culture of busyness, disconnection, and fear of vulnerability.

Through personal stories, research, and biblical wisdom, Justin paints of a picture of God's design for "covenant friendships." This book will teach you:

  • How loneliness points to our God-given needs.
  • Why vulnerability is the beginning of real friendship.
  • How to deepen the friendships we already have.
  • Key habits that create a lifestyle of friendship.

Isolation may be the norm of modern life, but it doesn’t have to be the story of yours, and it isn’t what you were made for. In fact, you were made to be among people who know you fully and love you anyway.

Leave behind loneliness and build the life of deep connection you long for.

i really enjoyed the author's writing and content on friendship.
4 stars for performance only because the audio publisher seems to have made some editing errors and a few short sections are repeated, though phrased differently, as though edits were made but the originals were left. This certainly does not detract from the content value so listen in!

excellent book on the need and value of friendship.

Loved this practical and encouraging book about friendship! I was struck multiple times but the authors insights and I appreciated the “theology of friendship” that he presented throughout the book. Recommending it to everyone I know!

Convicting and inspiring

There were times I cried wanted the friendships described and more often I found myself nurturing and intentionally reaching out to the people in my world I imagine this being possible with right now. At our church we say at our church that discipleship is friendship in the context of Jesus and this painted the picture.

Great book and a must read for all Christian Men.

There is a real spiritual war, we are losing, and the solution is not some elected official. It's friendship. Deep, authentic friendship. The true gift of covenant friendship (Christian accountability) is not solving your life problems with porn, alcohol or drugs (although it is the most powerful spiritual weapon against these things). It's being there for another as they navigate these waters. We all need Jesus desperately, but while living in these flawed bodies in a flawed world, we need to surround ourselves with Christian brothers. This book is a great place to start the journey.
