great book

a great slice of life book. i cant wait for more. def recommend for easy listening

a bit easy for the main character

the author falls into the usual trap of the main character being the only one with creativity and insight. it's a unique magic system and overall a good relaxing listen. but it feels like a young adult book because of how easy it is for the main character. that might change as this first book felt a bit short, but that's my review so far

Great story made better with Tess at the helm

Pretty much what I said in the title. It is creative, fun and Tess always makes stories more pleasant.

A whole new view of a magical world.

I enjoyed the characters and getting to know them. The technical descriptions were a bit difficult to understand but overall I enjoyed the story.

My first slice of life experience!

This is my first slice of life book I have listened to. I loved it. I listen while I am in the shop and the story made the time go by so fast.

The introduction to this world was fun and I love the rate of the release of information. No info dumping. Just narrative driven exploration.

The magic/inscription system is fun. The characters are great. I bought and gobbled up book two.
