Abigail Livingston arrives in Hunter's Grove to marry Scotty McCabe and discovers he was shot and killed just days before her arrival. Determined to find the murderer, she finds herself butting heads with the impossible constable, Cole Johnson.
Cole Johnson, livery owner, finds himself as acting constable after Constable McCabe is shot. When McCabe's mail order bride arrives, he finds her bold and overbearing. He vows to avoid her at all costs.
Yet, despite their instant dislike for each other, they work together to find the killer, and discover, while investigating, they might actually like each other.

Would you listen to Mail Order Vixen again? Why?
No, there are too many other books I want to listen to. This one was very good though and anyone who listens to it will enjoy it. It is a clean Christian romance western. What did you like best about this story?
That Cole was willing to listen and accept help even though it was from a woman. also that Cole was willing to say I'm sorry and try to explain when it looked as if he did wrongWhich character – as performed by Reagan Boggs – was your favorite?

I listened the audio version. I really enjoyed the narrator and the story. Abby comes to town as a mail order bride but when she gets there she finds her intended had been killed. She then sets out to help find the killer. Definitely kept my attention.
Will the killer be found

What did you like best about this story?
One thing I loved about this book was the Kansas history, since I'm a Kansas native.Any additional comments?
A great story with Kansas history. This book was sweet and I read it in just two sittings. I love that Barbara Goss doesn't need 'fill in' bad language to tell her stories, and I'm not embarrassed to be listening to it with my grandkids nearby playing.A sweet romance
