"Douglas Berger and Bunny Warren alternate in narrating chapters in this sequel to On the Rocks. Berger is convincing as Brody Markham, who's having difficulty adjusting after being released from prison for a vehicular homicide conviction. Warren captures all the warmth of Alyssa Meyers, a caring young woman who has just opened an animal shelter. When Markham is required to perform community service, he reluctantly volunteers at the shelter. As the couple become involved with each other, listeners will enjoy their exchanges as well as the story's spirited animals, luscious food descriptions, and descriptions of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Both narrators' deliveries intensify when Markham takes on Myers's former boyfriend, who's taken to stalking her. At that point, formerly unknown facts about the accident for which Markham was convicted are discovered. Great start to a new series!

This audiobook was about romance in a small coastal town in the Carolina Outer Banks. The characters are fresh and complex and the story was a good one. The narration was excellent. I recommend this for anyone who just needs a good romance with a HEA ending!

I loved the books so I wasn't surprised the audio was good going to be great.

A SWEET & SEXY FEEL-GOOD LOVE STORY

What a great couple Brody and Alyssa were.. the ex Con and the soft hearted Heiress who owns/runs a pet rescue sanctuary and, through understanding, determination and kindness Alyssa wins a heart that's been damaged, betrayed and frozen. Brody is all Alpha when needed, sexy when in the moody (which is all the time) and loving when Alyssa finally cracks his hard shell.

There's a good build-up to their relationship, sex, angst and drama caused by a couple of twisted ex's and a touching love story threaded throughout that ends in a sweet HEA ending for both Brody and Alyssa and Hunter and Gabby from book 1. Although these are easily standalone listens, and I have listened to these books out of order, it may be best to leave the last book in the series to the end so you can bask in all the couple's final HEA's. Dual POV and good narration.

Worth a credit? Yes, you can rely on Sawyer Bennett to deliver an entertaining story with a sexy Hero and a worthy Heroine who'll take you on their addictive journey as soulmates find each other.

Brody and Alyssa

A passionately emotional, sweetly charming and intensely captivating journey to go on with Brody and Alyssa. I adored these two so much, they banter was fiery, their chemistry was palpable but the connection they developed with absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed this story.
Bunny Warren and Douglas Berger did an outstanding job bringing these amazing characters to life. I loved listening to them.
