I liked it!

Yes, it really is 18 hours. But in those 18 hours we grow with this couple, we look into their childhood, read some very steamy scenes and truly get to know them. Did I mention the steamy scenes?

Very good story, it is worth listening to the FULL 18 hours.

Intriguing storyline - lots of sexiness

The storyline was intriguing and caught my attention immediately. I usually don’t like a lot of past/present hops but this one only did it when it made sense to give the backstory. The characters were well developed and captured my heart. Beware - LOTS of sexiness in great detail. But for me it added to the storyline and characters. Having 1 narrator for both was distracting at first but when I set my mind to it having 1 didn’t bother me. It would have been better with a male & female since the male character is strong and viral in my mind. Overall a great story, lots of sexy and sad it was over at the end.

What an exciting and electrifying listen this was right from the get go as Newspaper Editor Harper first meets the mysterious sensual Software Mogul Jacob Latimer who soon introduces her to his dark sexual appetite.. which includes artfully placed black silk ropes. But Jacob is holding back secrets.. and one secret will connect him to Harper when they were young innocent teens - when an unbreakable bond was formed between a kidnapped Harper and the young boy who risked everything to save her from a terrible fate at the hands of a monster. However, Harper doesn't recognise her skinny young saviour in the handsome present-day businessman she's now falling for.. until slowly things start to unravel.

Jacob has gone to great lengths to hide his humble origins from the world so when he accidentally meets Harper again he thinks he can have it all and keep her from the disturbing memories of their locked-together pasts.. bitter-sweet memories he never wants to forget. Once Harper was everything to him, as he was to her, and Jacob just can't believe that she doesn't see who he really is.. behind the secretive Billionaire.. behind his fit body, shaven balls and alluring knots. But when the truth is eventually revealed both of them will be shocked and shaken with all the heartbreaking revelations.

This multi-layered listen was so addictive as you nervously wait for Harper to recognize the innocent boy she once loved in the kinky alpha man she's been helplessly falling for.. and to find the answers to his other secrets too. Jacob was intimidating, impenetrable and glacial.. but behind the aloof image lay a tantalizing man who had heart, heat and warmth. There's scorching hot detailed sex scenes with bondage, twists, suspense, romance, passion, good character growth and some sweet tense flashbacks to the events that first brought them together. Dual POV storyline that was awesomely told by one of my favorite narrators.

Worth a credit? YES, Beth Kery has weaved together a fascinating powerful love story with roots in the past as well as the present - I clung on to every enticing word, savored all the seductive unfolding drama and enjoyed every single second, minute and hour.

I wish it had a male voice as well. It was a wonderful job by Maxine Mitchell as always.
