Out of the ashes of a Confederate defeat, soldier Martin Keller heads west for a new life as a rancher. But hard times like these call for more practical means of survival - such as riding posse alongside the Texas Rangers. It’s not a job that comes without risk or enemies, as Keller discovers the hard way when his family is brutally murdered. Hopped up on rage and burning for revenge, Keller severs ties with the Rangers, tracks the cutthroats into the Indian Nations, and restyles himself as an unforgiving bounty hunter with no rules or remorse. To good citizens and desperadoes alike he’s known as the Man Killer. And he’s not giving up until the men who murdered his family are planted boot hill....

This is a five star book. This book has everything I look for in a book. Starting out Marty's family is killed. I don't like that but that has to happen to set the rest of the book up. Then Marty goes after the guys responsible. He hunts them down one by one. In during the hunt he takes up Bounty hunting to make money to be able to keep searching for the killers. I hate the way some sheriff's put down bounty hunting. There to scared to go after the dangerous killers then they put down bounty hunters that will do it. Ok in during the hunt Marty makes some friends and more enemies. He does a favor for the army and goes after a guy that ran off. He ends up saving a town and being a hero and having to shoot the boy in self defense and becoming a bad guy at the same time. There is a lot of action and a great storyline. Milton Bagby does an excellent job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you

I have the Audible version and really liked the way Milton Bagby told or read the book. I'm looking forward to reading or listening to the other two books.
